AlgoaNet provides the following options with related costs insofar as the Hosting of Websites are concerned.

Personalized Homepages

Dial-up subscribers are entitled to 5 Mb of Web space at no additional cost for the hosting of personalized homepages.

Personalized homepages refers to a content of a personal matter and does not include and/or mean to include any content on such pages of a commercial nature i.e. the advertising of services and/or a business. Personal homepage addresses will be an extension of the AlgoaNet address i.e. http://www.agnet.co.za/username (where username is your actual dial-up username).

Domain Registration

To host a commercial website requires the registration of a domain name (www address). The cost of registering a domain name amounts to a once off registration fee of R 300-00 with an annual "update fee" charged by the registration regulating body Uniforum SA, this annual fee currently being R 100-00.

Required IP addresses will be provided by AlgoaNet.

AlgoaNet offers four options insofar as the hosting of websites are concerned as well as the registration of domains. All web hosting options commence and are payable on the date of activation, in practice the same date as the date of signing the Acceptance of Terms & Conditions section as reflected on the AlgoaNet Internet Subscription Form.

Web Hosting Services

Hosting Method 1:  ( Web hosting only)
With this option your website will be hosted to a maximum size of  5 Mb on the AlgoaNet server at a cost of R 100-00 per month or alternatively R 1,000-00 if paid annually in advance. The cost of additional space requirements to be negotiated with AlgoaNet. No dial-up account or e-mail is included in this option. Temporary access will be given to upload any pages or to do changes to the site.

The design, maintenance, backup and uploading of websites are the sole responsibility of the subscriber and AlgoaNet will not be held responsible for any loss of data.

Hosting Method 2: (  Web Hosting + dial-up )
With this option your website will be hosted to a maximum size of 5 Mb on the AlgoaNet server at a cost of R 150-00 per month or alternatively R 1,500-00 if paid annually in advance. The cost of additional space requirements to be negotiated with AlgoaNet.

Included in this cost is one (1) dial-up account with an e-mail address plus four (4) additional Alias e-mail addresses. All e-mail addresses will have the extension @agnet.co.za i.e. your e-mail address would be This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. The cost of additional e-mail addresses to be negotiated with AlgoaNet.

Registration of your website on international search engines will be done by AlgoaNet at no additional cost.The design, maintenance, backup and uploading of websites are the sole responsibility of the subscriber and AlgoaNet will not be held responsible for any of the said functions whatsoever.

Hosting Method 3: ( Web & Mail -hosting + Dial-up )

With this option your website will be hosted to a maximum size of 10 Mb on the AlgoaNet server at a cost of R 250-00 per month or alternatively R 2,500-00 if paid annually in advance. The cost of additional space requirements to be negotiated with AlgoaNet.Included in this cost is one (1) dial-up account with an e-mail address plus five (5) additional separate e-mail addresses (Not Aliases). The cost of additional e-mail addresses to be negotiated with AlgoaNet.

This option includes the creation of a virtual server to host your website and mail. All e-mail addresses will have the extension @domain.co.za i.e. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. (where domain is the name for which you opted to register your website). This effectively means that your email address(es) will never again have to change whether you remain an AlgoaNet client or opt to move your website to be hosted on a server of another ISP.Registration of your website on international search engines will be done by AlgoaNet at no additional cost.The design, maintenance, backup and uploading of websites are the sole responsibility of the subscriber and AlgoaNet will not be held responsible for any of the said functions whatsoever.

Hosting Method 4:  ( Mail Hosting + dial-up )

With this option we create and maintain a mail server on your behalf with up to 5 E-mail address linked to your Domain. If you do not have a domain then please see the section on domain registration. Mail hosting includes 1 (one) dail-up account.The cost for mail hosting is R200.00 per month or R2000.00 per annum.
